Spain vs. Holland
It was a disaster, si.
However, my question is not about football but about a banner (sign) I saw in the stadium while we watched the match.
It was held by some fans, and it said: FRANCO NOS CASAMOS.
I don't understand.
If I am correct, this means "WE MARRY FRANCO," which makes no sense at all. What am I missing?
Is this some sort of political reference to Franco the general? Or is there a football player named Franco?

Two options
A) she says...."Franco, would you marry me?"
B) she Is saying so.....doesn,t matter what Franco think about...no choice.

There are many people named Franco and not all of them are dictators.
I flew with an instructor named Francisco Franco.
I don't know what this banner means too.

Wow. This wasn't in a Savoia-Marchetti Pipistrello, "on loan" from Mussolini, was it?
(I suppose it's easier to be named Francisco Franco in modern Spain than it would be to be named Adolph You-Know-Who in modern Germany. But it still must be rather odd, yes?)
